This year the summer weather is evading the UK so far, the light and the moods of the landscape are so different from past Summers, it's no wonder my creativity is feeling confused! It has on the other hand helped me to explore and given me the inclination to keep on trying new approaches to my art making, although many of them are dead ends it's all helping get things out of my head which is very needed.
Being quite restricted with my adventures to new vista's has also been an influence and made me realise that to keep being intrigued and excited in making work relies upon new experiences and locations as well as the re-visited places. It's amazing too if you have other things going on in your life how it restricts the creative conversations one has with oneself and so things creative begin to slow up and make one feel as though you are stuck. How do you keep your inspiration flowing? I would love to know, please feel free to comment as it's great to get feedback as we can all learn from each other.
I'm finding the weather has an even greater influence on my art than I ever thought possible and It has helped me to regain some of my lost enthusiasm of late by giving colour more of an important aspect and hopefully this will continue to improve things in the future.
I am hoping to get started on updating my small paintings on my website so watch out for new additions all at an affordable price, I hope you all have a good rest of the Summer and that it brings you some sun and joy.
